An architect designed and professionally converted peach barn
in a small village called Bouleternere, population around 600, approximately 26 kilometres away from the medieval city of Perpignan.

Bouleternere sits at the base of Canigou one of the highest mountains in this area of the Pyrenees,

The barn was converted in 2004, has two double bedrooms each with ensuite facilities, plus another double bed on the mezzanine floor.
There is also another
inflatable double which means that
Le Grange can sleep up to
eight adults. The house is supplied with cutlery, bedding towels etc. for up to eight people. The kitchen is fully equipped with hob, oven, dishwasher, two fridge freezers, toaster etc.

There is satellite TV (uk channels),
plus a video, dvd (some films supplied), cd and mp3 player
(eclectic music collection supplied).

The bedrooms were deliberately sited on the ground floor to be the coolest place in Bouleternere in the middle of August and there
is also a ferociously hot Norwegian wood burning stove if you are there
in the winter.

The deck at the back of the house was created by taking the roof off, it is totally secluded so if you want to do away with your clothes, just go ahead, might be wise to
lock the back gate though!

The local area is ideal for cyclists and ramblers. The house has ample ground floor storage for bikes and
walking equipment.

The village has a bar, grocers, baker
all within 50 metres of the property.

For more serious shopping and eating, Ille-sur-Tet is just 5 kilometres away.
With its prehistoric caves.

Local attractions include many Mediterranean
beaches, from the quaint Coulliere to the brash Argeles and yachty Canet.

Just 40 minutes away is the Spanish border and Girona, the
Salvador Dali museum and the
Costa Blanca.

Close by you can white water raft or golf, windsurf or if you are on a winter hire, ski in Andorra.

What more can we say? the people
are friendly, the wine is cheap, and
